More Damned Tests
I saw the cardiologist today. He told me nothing that I didn't already know; that my heart muscle has thickened, and is not pushing blood out as well as it should. He said he didn't know exactly how serious it was just yet... so more tests.
This Wednesday, I will have another echo-cardiogram (despite having had one just last Wednesday), and something called an Exercise Myocardial Perfusion (which I believe is them making me exercise to see how quickly I tire/wheeze/heart explodes). And I get to wear something called a Holter Monitor for four hours.
After that, he says if I don't hear anything back from them, then "no news is good news, eh?"
Well, no. "No news" means that this is just how I am now; this is how I breathe, how I labour through my life.
I can only hope that this next round of tests will show something.
