Husband is taking me out tonight ;)

I've find a great apartment (90m2! 4 bedrooms! just near the community center! not as nicely situated as the one I'm crazy about, of course, but second best).

Today was a great day. We rang at the entry phone, first the Jewish names hoping they would want to help fellow Jews (didn't seem eager to help...), then we just chose names that sounded good lol. I was surprised to see Godfather and Godmother used in a non-European setting. My mother did have them, they were the sandak and his wife of her brother's bris, who happend to be the aunt and uncle-in-law of her father. lol

I can't believe it! A frum driving school! It's settled in Créteil (fully shomer shabbes), Paris (secretariat shomer shabbes, but they have rules of the road lessons during shabbes), and Champigny (same), which is not far from my town. I'm almost tempted, just for the fun factor!

We're just back from such a nice day in Créteil. It's really a lovely place. It's not posh and stuck up and anti kids making any noise like here, and it's not low class and dirty at best, dangerous at worst like unfortunately many frum communities ( Read more... )

Interesting fact : just while we’re struggling to know if there is a daycare in Créteil for when we’ll have moved… daycare from Fontenay, near Créteil, contacts us and asks if we want a place for September !

Husband said September nay, but January they should keep for us, just in case…
