Happy 2010, everybody!

A bit late with the greeting, but at least it's still January! ;) I am feeling much better. My liver function is now basically normal (in Canada some of my enzymes were 14 times what they should have been). My kidney function is still stable, despite the meds having to be adjusted while I was ill. I'm still anemic, but I'm ( Read more... )

My study leave is going well and is productive. My thesis is taking shape. I also have received the wonderful news that both my abstracts were accepted for the conference in Canada! I'll be going to Vancouver in October! Am very excited! And my anaemia is responding to treatment!

I am taking several weeks of study leave soon and hope to be able to write some more of my story, "Family Reunion". So watch this space.

RL has really taken over my life (if you know what I mean) this year and hence my slowness with writing.

You can trust me. I turned 40 on Friday. I have to be all grown up and dependable now!
