I started playing around last night with the pattern for my Catherine-Wheel Cape and I am both pleased and amused.

This is the designer, Teva Durham's photograph of the cape. Since the yarn she suggests is a) expensive and b) contained animal fibres, it took me a while to find a substitute that I liked and went well with my steampunk bustle ( Read more... )

I've just returned home from Surrey and am reconciling files.

I began by opening old and new versions of the opening chapter of Hastings Hall, to paste the vastly superior new version into place.

They have exactly the same word count: 2148.

I am so very amused.
