I really, really, really want to finish this book before I validate. It's a strange idea, but it seems right to me. I know finishing the story is not a requirement in the NaNo rules, but it would be a satisfaction well worth striving for.

So as of now, I have slightly more than twenty-four hours to finish -- and here's the situation.
