Just saw a great movie... Little Miss Sunshine. Its a cross between The Royal Tennebaums and Garden State (but without the awesome garden state soundtrack) -- disfunctional family, dark comedy, strange situations... Very funny ( Read more... )

I forgot how hilariously funny the movie "Glen or Glenda" was. I am totally in pain from laughing so hard. :-) Just what I needed!

OMG, I am soooo sick. I feel miserable :-(

I managed to give my talk today... and even got a lot of compliments and good feedback, do I guess I did okay. Group dinner is over and I am just going to die in bed now...

Ug, last night I thought I was starting to feel sick (unwell being the proper english expression). Sure enough, I spent the night awake coughing and feeling like I had a cross between the flu, a cold, and pneumonia. Just great. Today I got up to drive to Wales. Tintern to be exact. Unfortunately, fate was against me. Its a 2+ hour drive. First I had to take the train to the airport to get my rental car. What a day. Started by catching the tube to St Paul's Cathedral. Got a free tour from a russian guide that was really fun. Walked the 1000 steps to the top of the dome. In the crypt I saw the tombs of a lot of famous artists and poet and others. Next I walked to the millennium bridge which leads to the Tate Modern. Wow, really great exhibits. I ( Read more... )

what a day! First, I woke up early for my flight to Heathrow, turned on the TV while getting ready and heard about the terrorist plot and all of the news about the new Code Red for airlines and the backups at the airport.
