Ug, last night I thought I was starting to feel sick (unwell being the proper english expression). Sure enough, I spent the night awake coughing and feeling like I had a cross between the flu, a cold, and pneumonia. Just great. Felt like I wanted to just die... but I did not want to not at least do the key thing I had planned for the day. So after breakfast I got in the car and drove to Chepstow, a very large and well preserved castle that dates as far back as 11th century. Old stuff can be fun! Despite feeling like crap, enjoyed the castle.
Then I drove the 2 hours to Windsor. The workshop is on the grounds of the great windsor park, where windsor castle is, at the cumberland lodge, but they only have lodging for the attendees on wed and thur night, so tonight and friday night I am staying at a nice hotel in windsor, up the street from the "front foor" of the castle. When I arrived, I walked up the street and checked out the castle from the outside. OMG, Windsor castle is LARGE! I mean HUGE! Pictures to come.
Then wandered around to find food and ended up eating at the best Moroccan restaurant I have ever been to. Had a tangine dish. Now its off to bed to fight the cold and be ready for the workshop tomorrow. Oh yeah, I have to put my talk together at some point... lol.
Oh, forgot to mention... driving on the left... definitely hard to get use to. The hardest part is not drifting too far to the left in your lane, as you are now sitting in the passenger seat and are not use to driving from there in the car.
