It's definitely Fall in Blacksburg, my first one since 2006!!  I have very few long sleeve options, and no winter coats.  It's also difficult for me to go up home because I work Fridays as well as Sundays.  I'm trying to edge binge drinking out of my life.  I'm at the point where I feel like it just hinders me and ruins the entire next day.   I ( Read more... )

I gave blood last monday, and I still have the most ridiculous bruise, ever.  Althought I do love telling people its from Brittany abusing me.  I have a lot of reading to do, but most of the night to do it.  I accidentally picked up another shift at work tomorrow, from 11:30-2pm, right smack in between my classes.  I've been so tired lately, I cant ( Read more... )

Last night I worked a wedding.  I have very few responsibilities besides making sure no one goes in the house, taking out the trash, and making sure people dont smoke on the grounds.  There was a guy smoking a cigar by the bathrooms so I went to up to him  (who was apparently the groom's father) and told him to put it out.  Now, I'm thinking he was ( Read more... )

I finished my homework for Thursday already.  I wrote a one page biography on myself in roughly 15 minutes.  I have a meeting with my adviser at 1:30, and I need to go retrieve my football ticket soon, but thats kind of on the other side of the drillfield and a little bit of a hike.  It's cold and rainy here...Surprise ( Read more... )

I'm finally all moved in to my new apartment in Oakbridge!  My parents and sister came down on Saturday with furniture for my room.  I was kind of worried about not having enough space for all my stuff, because my new room is a lot smaller than my other one, but everything fit pretty nicely.  I'm now in the process of deciding where to put all my ( Read more... )

My mom came down to Blacksburg this weekend, and we went to Greeneville Tennessee and Bristol to visit her alma maters (materi? materus?).  It was a lot of fun.  I love hanging out with my mom, because shes just so quirky and cute.  We didnt have directions for the hotel so we drove along the "main drag" and looked for the Comfort Inn.  We found it ( Read more... )
