I got new fibreglass cast today, after they surprised me with talk of surgery and then backed down. But it's at least 6 weeks in this cast, and then another 6+ weeks of physio. The new cast is lighter, a bit roomier, and ends lower in the back, making more knee-bending possible ( Read more... )

Broken leg notwithstanding, it is okay for me to feel frustrated with the current work situation. I am writing to the disagreeing specifications of 2 different people from 2 different disciplines (neither of which are familiar to me) against an unrealistic deadline. I went surfing Sunday, which was a new experience for me. "Surfing" in this instance seemed to mostly involve dragging the boards around to wear I could use it, punctuated by occassional moments of exhilaration and a lot of sea water up the nose. My thyroid is behaving itself on the adjusted medication dosage, although I’m still trying to balance on the sweet spot where I’m sharp, enthusiastic, energetic, lean and libidinous, but can also sleep at night.
