He rushed quietly through the streets, stealing a glance up at the moon. It was almost full - shit. He'd have to find a safe place to go when his curse kicked in. The forge was probably safe as anything.
And then, there was... something. A cloud? Fog? No, it shifted too strangely to be anything normal -too bright, too ...
everything went black.

"Do you know why the sunset appears red? It's because in the spectrum of visible light, red reaches the farthest."
Roxas's smiling face, a stick of ice cream in his hand. "You're just showing off, Axel."

Xion's keyblade was drawn, staring at Axel, and frowning.

“It’s snow.”
For a moment, she was surprised at the sound of her own voice speaking to her. Then she remembered. This was not just a vision, it was a memory. The first time that Soel and Larg had seen snow. She was seeing it now through their eyes.

But things were different this time - because he could see. And not just that hazy vision he'd gotten during the battle, or even that strange shadows on white he'd developed in Antarctica, but sight. Colors, and edges, and shapes...
He felt his head turn, and that was where Iggy first realized that something was very wrong. Because he was looking at himself, wings expanded and beating powerfully, explosions wracking the ( ... )
