I enjoy the show at the moment but admittedly some storylines more than others.

Unfortunately Sansa seems to have been regressed big time. After her grating Season 1-self, she seemed to have become a quiet badass in her own way. Now, she wonders if her family will be allowed to come to her wedding. Like who, Robb? Urgh.

Danaerys on the other hand went from my favourite in Season 1, to being stuck in an ultra-boring story in Season 2 and now back to awesome again. Yay.

Love Margaery manipulating that little psychopath Joffrey. That is glorious. Still, hopefully Tywin or someone will kill that little weasel off soon.

What I`m most interested right now is Jaime and Brienne. I hope they don`t destroy what they have build between them.

Jon Snow - storyline doesn`t really keep moving. Robb? He has as much political savvy as Ned, which is to say none. I like him still but he doesn`t have what it takes to be a king in Backstabbing Landing.

Oh, and Theon? Napfsülze

Sansa: YES! Exactly! She got such promising character development in S2, and then suddenly, she was a hopelessly boring ingenue again. It's really disappointing. The series was slowly changing her from a sheltered, naive girl into a strong, smart, subtle and dangerous woman. And then they evidently grew bored, and suddenly smacked her right back to the point she'd started out from.

Argh. But you know, Daenerys actually had moments like this too, last season, where she was always inexplicably astonished that the world failed to hand her everything on a golden platter simply because she was a princess ("But I'm a princess, and I want it! It's not fair!!"). That was also weird and frustrating, because she's also developed past that stage ages before that point.

Maybe a period of regression is just mandatory for awesome kick-ass women in this series...?

Robb? He has as much political savvy as Ned, which is to say none. He reminds me so much of Ned lately. He is just as hopelessly out of his depth in the deeper waters outside of his ( ... )

LOL! What does that mean? It sounds just right for him, but I've never actually heard it before. *g*

Hee. *g*

I actually liked this characterization in Ned's case. He was a realistically limited, inflexible and unimaginative man with a narrow view of the world; he always felt that he was doing the right thing, but he never really was, because the real world didn't fit into his simplistic scope. He was like a left-over from a more simple time, in a way.

In Rob, the same thing bugs me more. Maybe it's that he's younger, I'm not sure. Maybe it's just that I'm not as sure it's intentional, in his case.

Oh god, I thought I was the only one who didn't like the Starks! I kinda like Arya but her arc slowed right down and I'm waiting for it to pick back up again. The Tyrell women have the biggest balls in this entire show. I think the older one and Tywin Lannister are perfectly suited, I want to see more of them two facing off against each other.

I love the Khalessi. She's awesome and I want to marry her and have little dragonborn babies.

I used to like both Sansa and Arya, and was rather neutral about Rob until recently. But now, yes, Arya is stuck with nothing happening, Sansa has regressed to her early S1-self as though S2 never happened, and Rob is a raging hypocrite.

I still have hope for Sansa and Arya, though. :-)

You know, it actually occurred to me that they could marry each other off - to each other. Just imagine how scary they would be. And they'd keep each other so busy the rest of the realm could breathe a collective sigh of relief.

I completely agree with everything you said up there. I REALLY want to love Arya, but this whole hostage bit is not working out for me. I never loved any of the other Starks enough too care too much about them.

ALLLLLLLL of the Tyrell women are SPECTACULAR. Cersei is mad cuz she's not the baddest bitch in Westeros anymore, but fuck her. I don't love her.

THEON GREYJOY, CAN YOU PLEASE DIE NOW???? PLEASE????

Many of the plot strands seem to be treading in place right now. It forces so many of the characters to be passive and static, which is rather frustrating. Especially since it's messing with characters like Arya and Sansa, who could be so interesting and awesome.

Seriously, I've been repeatedly told that *so many main characters* die in this series. But noooo, even Theon is still alive, and there is nothing at all happening with him. Why devote so much time to this boredom? Argh!

At this point, it will honestly be a relief for me when people finally die. There are less and less characters that I'd be sorry to see going.
