As you may notice, there’s several communities that make up Reality Shifted.
★ Main Communities (realityshifted)
Here is where you post 'journal' entries i.e., for this RP, all IC posts will be posted directly to the comm and not to character journals. These are in actuality forays onto the astral plane. Comments are people chatting it up on the astral plane. This means they aren't quite like journal entries. More like first person meeting grounds, as if you ran into your friends on the street (except that the street happens to be the Astral Plane). People can bite, kick, touch, snog, smell, etc on this plane - and oddly enough, things that occur on this plane are more intensely received by the senses than in the realities. In other words, they feel more real. Check out the main community and see how players do it to get a feel for it.
If you're wondering why some people number their posts, the answer is simple: size contest. No, really. It's there to see who has the most posts.
★ Tags
Posts here are tagged by series, deviance, and character. The formant looks like this "series name (d#) character name" would be one such tag. A mod will add a tag to your character's post when they see it. You may wish to make a post in your character's actual journal with which to organise posts and comments as you would desire.
★ Logs Community (shifted_logs)
This community is for logs. That's prose, essentially. These are scenes which are to take place between apped characters, not between an apped character and other characters created in their reality (see: prompts comm below for more).
It can come in two forms: a thread, where the rping is done over comments, or in a log, where RPing is done through instant messaging, and then edited into a prose form. Logs should be set up like this:
Log Title on the subject line- Any sort of title you want can go here
Characters:
Location:
Time:
Summary:
Warnings:
To briefly explain each! The Title can be anything of your choosing. The Characters and Location should be obvious. Just tell who's in the log and where it's happening. The Time can be pretty vague. Generally it's meant for "after so and so's entry" or something. Since reality is constantly influx, so is time, so don't sweat over specifics. The Warnings should list any questionable content (like Not Work Safe stuff).
As far as the prose style, it's all 3rd person. However, we won't kill you if your logs aren't Shakespeare or epic huge. Just as long as they show a good grasp of the language and you have fun with them, that's all that matters. Please, feel free to make use of this comm. Logs are a blast ♥
★ Prompts Community (shifted_prompts)
This is a writing comm! It's for fic, essentially, as we all like to write our characters (I should hope). These are for drabbles and scene. The pieces may be introspective and may or may not be RP-verse canon, if you like. They don't have to take place within the course of your character's stay inside the machine, and may be from before their arrival here. This is, essentially, to enrich the universe which your character is bringing to the table.
NPCs of the reality are of course allowed in here. Applied characters are also permitted for use, but you should talk to the appropriate player about it for approval. If you use an NPC in it and that NPC is later apped, it's not a problem. The only time you have to ask is if a character is there, in-game, applied.
However, this is not a community for logs. The difference between logs and prompts is that logs are collaborative writing pieces between one or more player, while prompts are written by one player, with their character as the focus. Of course we're not going to come at you with a hammer if you post something that might do better as a prompt in the log community.
Fics should be posted to the comm, so we can all see. You can of course post them elsewhere, but just give us a link to it from the community.

For OOC things! Introductions, notes for hiatuses (though you still need to drop a line at the hiatus post for the mods or it shan't count), memes, silly stuff, miscellaneous stuff. Pretty much if it doesn't go in the other comms, it goes here.
There is a tag *player plots for this comm. This tag can be used if players want to suggest a plot or wish to make plans with other players for assorted plots.
★ Chatroom & Wiki
Why yes! We have both! The chatroom is easily accessible for anyone on AIM. The usual room name is 'realityisrelative' because we're incredibly clever like that. It's open mainly to members already in the game but feel free to invite interested friends and the like. If the chat happens to be empty, also feel free to fish for members. Invites aren't usually a bad thing ♥ It's just a chat to enjoy each other, spazz and talk.
The wiki, meanwhile, is also just for fun! The new wiki is here. (We have an older wiki here.) It contains useful things about the characters, the muns and is mostly just silly things about them. It also contains write-ups of plots, reality mergers and anything else we think of. It's a group effort, so all players should feel free to contribute how they like.
