I was one of those people apprehensive about bonding.  My advice (not that you asked) is not to read anyone else's description of bonding and expect your experience to be the same...but have faith that it will occur for you in its own way ( Read more... )

My husband suffers from depression. He is not receiving any kind of treatment for this due to his refusal. I have learned how to deal with it over the years. But now we are having a baby boy. I feel a little unattached. See my story, is I got pregnant in Nov 2007 after trying for several months. My then husband and I wanted that baby more than anything. On Christmas I lost him at 6w4d. I'm not pregnant anymore! So, I'm 14wks today. I've had a remarkably unremarkable pregnancy so far; I kind of feel like a fraud. I've had none of the typical first-trimester symptoms except for fatigue... and some "interesting" bathroom issues.
