In BtVS, Riley Finn gets tripped up over the plural of apocalypse when he learns the truth about Buffy.  I never thought much of it except that it gave the heroine some cred and satisfy the dramatic requirements for a season finale. And generally, that's where the apocalypses stuck, was season finales. La la la happy tv.
