Well somebody had the idea http://boingboing.net/2014/12/11/hand-illuminated-edition-of-th.html which looks great. I wrote a short story  too, about Anäire, wife of Fingolfin, mother of Fingon and Turgon, grandmother of Idril, hand illuminating a silmarillion. Happy to see I wa not the only one to think about a hand-illuminated book.

We still miss our cat so much, a year after his passsing, and we usually exchange tidbits of internet cat appreciation with great nostalgia and amusement.
Then the other day my brother found this Cat Purr generator and now my sister is falling asleep every night to the sound of purring. It's really amazing.

The eldest balrogling is 18. He started college this fall: a double degree, bilingual, in maths and physics, while also continuing with his musical career (organ, and all the related subjects, which will end up granting him a third (or first) degree) and finding time to play and compose for his own heavy metal folk band. I'm going to Argentina for a couple of weeks, more or less, starting today. Part work part fun, as it happens lately, so don't be worried if I'm out of touch for a while.

According to science, at least as good as. The trick is being constant, in both cases. I thought Daw might approve.

I'm currently reading a hardcover, only to find myself regularly bringing my finger to the text, I dont know, unconsciously expecting it will show a translation or a synonym of the word, or that it will link me to another page, or open a notepad to scrabble my thoughts...It's almost unbelievable how quickly unconscious habits take hold!
