More Pepper Seeds...
...I can't seem to get enough. I just sent off a request to, "The Pepper Guy" in Maine for:
- Carmanola Rossa--large sweet pepper
- Lemon Drop
- Pimento,Tangerine---sweet
- Georgia Flame----little or no heat 2 samples left
- Diamante Market Cherry--mild heat
Considering my plan for more pepper varieties this year, I think I need a pepper icon! :) - Carmanola Rossa--large sweet pepper

And we're off!
I'd say officially, my 2007 garden season has begun. :) Two orders came in this week, one for a set of 18" cloche and a pack of Wonder Soil and seeds (mini sweet pepper mix and Buran peppers, a Polish heirloom sweet pepper).

Super Sprouting!
On Friday night, I threw in greens seeds into a coffee filter in a zippy bag with some water. About 50% of the seeds have germinated as of tonight! I did just put them on top of a radiator, that was about it. I transferred many of the sprouts into seed starters already. Hopefully I'll be able to move them into the terrarium/cold box in a couple of ( Read more... ) -
First Harvest of the Year
Not a lot harvested, but very tastey. Michael grilled some gourmet burgers for dinner tonight which we dressed with fresh buttercrunch lettuce from the terrarium. Jana's job with fresh greens is to spin them dry after washing. We actually didn't offer her any, but after she saw us put lettuce on our burgers and as a side, she had to have some too.
