It's been a little hectic around here, mostly trying to get to-do lists done and trying to take a break when we can.
Friday, I casted on for a raglan top-down play sweater for Jana. I think I'm getting hooked on knitting raglan, I could be done within a week!
Saturday, Jana had a playdate with Leila (2) and Virginia (3) while I did some seed trading with their moms. Brigid has a neat place outside the city and Jana got to see some real chickens. Very pretty ones actually. I've never seen chickens so domesticated before though, they were trying to get inside the house. I remember the chickens around where my grandmother lived, they were srawny and skittish. And the last chicken I saw was on my brother's block in Baldwin Park (that one took me by surprise).
Sunday, we really tried to get through our long household project list. I was able to seed start basil and marigolds. As of today, 4/6 basil have sprouted and no marigolds yet.
Monday, Jana and Michael were off. I had breakfast with them and some other SGI folks then we made a pit stop at an Office Depot because the highway was backed up coming back. They had all their LeapFrog products on clearance and Jana got a lot of goodies to take home.
Tuesday, had interview #5 for my vacant Technology Integration Coordinator at work.
Wednesday, had a horrible pork filletino at Olive Garden. And in addition to getting comp'd for the entree, we each got a free dessert. We'll definitely make it back to that restaurant, but I don't know if I'd try their pork again.
Today, we have tickets to see Monsters, Inc on Ice. Jana got really excited when she saw the commercial.
