So, last Thursday, I'm taking my stepdaughter to see her pediatrician. My wife joins me there and sees the back of my right leg had a red hue to it. I had been in a lot of pain just behind and below my knee and had an appointment Friday to see my doctor about it. ...in the hospital. Have a DVT in my right leg and clots in both lower lungs. So, waiting for the one doctor who will decide how the treatment will go.

I am grateful for my wife, family, and friends at this kinda scary thing!

I ended up re-doing the entire manuscript in M$ Word, adopting a very basic layout so I'd stop having headaches trying to get PDFs that the printer would accept.

Trying to layout a book in M$ Word is a nightmare. So, I dug out Adobe PageMaker (which I am more familiar with) and while much easier, its ability to export as PDF was not embedding the fonts. So, updated Adobe Distiller and tried again after checking to make sure all the settings were right, Lulu (the book printer) kept rejecting the file as not ( Read more... )

The cover, and interior layout, is adapted from the old and long out of print Profile Publications series on aircraft from the 1960s. Very basic and simple to do which means I can quickly convert the manuscript into print ready form.

I mentioned earlier that one Sunday, our pastor pointed right to me during his sermon on the Beatitudes and it was if he was speaking to me. Coincidence? If I had any thoughts that was the case, then today spelled out very clearly that God is speaking through him to me.
