Located at the end of the Blue line, this station has been in the works for over a decade with multiple starts and stops. This opening is the last for the foreseeable future. Lisbon's Metro is not actively working on any new extensions.

Wandering around the city, I decided to take a break from the effects of the heavy rain and wandered into a traditional Burmese cafe. This is where people hang out, chat and enjoy life. Until recently, this is also where most of the intelligence gathering for the government informants took place.

Pacific Ocean is full of small remote islands. Once upon a time I read a trip report on Flyertalk about a Continental Micronesia flight from Honolulu to Guam on a Boeing 737 that does a 1-day trip across many of those islands. Mandalay is one of the biggest cities in Myanmar. Here, just like elsewhere in the country, there are plenty of temples, pagodas and monasteries. At the bottom of Mandalay Hill is an arrangement of pagodas and monasteries. This includes Shwenandaw Kyaung, an all-teak monastery (no nails) with beautiful wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda, and the world's largest book, and the Sandamuni pagoda and its surrounding stone caves.
