The O.C. Recaps
The O.C. is all about Ryan coming to Newpart and how it changed both Ryan and all of Newport.
So last summer (2010) I talked a friend of mine into watching The O.C. for the first time (mostly by telling her how well done the characters were and pointing out the great slash subtext some of them have). Now I watched it all over the summer of 2007 just after the show finished it’s run. But as she was going to watch it I wanted to rewatch it so we could talk about it better and for reasons I don’t remember I decided to do a recap with picspam of it. And I just never stopped. At this point I hope to be done before the end of 2012 but we’ll see.
Now something you should now these are not full recaps. I only talk about and cap plots and characters I like so some stuff will not be covered. I focus on the relationships of Ryan, I also have a fondness for Luke. Those I don’t like as much will not get as much coverage. There are also times that I will take a moment and talk about a theme, idea or character that I find interesting, once more often involving Ryan but not always.
Also for most of the first season I was using online sources for the video so the quality isn’t always the same, sometimes it’s rather poor. By the time I got to the end of the first season I had gotten every season on DVD so they should be better from here on out.
I’m up to talking about just about anything but I do ask you not to spoil anything. I have seen it but my friend, and others, have not don’t give away big stuff, like the end of season events. Wait until I get there.
