3x19 The Secrets and Lies aka the one where Ryan and Marissa really move on.

Apr 23, 2012 10:59

Ryan and really growing up, it’s no longer a kid trying to be an adult but really an adult and he’s finally starting to get the difference.

Previous Part

Ryan is growing up. Really growing up.

He’s happy being in a drama light relationship which for Ryan is new. He doesn’t have to take care of Johnny’s cousin, they’re both independent people. It’s good for him.

Even when Seth interrupts him and Johnny’s cousin with news about Marissa and Volchok all Ryan does is say

Not my problem, Marissa can date who she wants.

He even tells Volchok. It takes Volchok by surprise but Ryan’s just like take care of her.

And focus on his girlfriend

And smiles a lot. Something Ryan hasn’t done in far to long.

He even gets Johnny’s cousin not to leave town, with more an a little help from Marissa who seems just wants Ryan to be happy too.

Sadly all other signs point to Marissa not doing well.

She drinking, heavy, again.

And blowing off Summer, and this is after their parents come back engaged.

They’re just fighting, like sisters.

She’s not going to family dinners

She’s just going to the beach with Volchok and doing drugs.

In a happier plot line Seth and his mother are bonding again

Going out to movies

Going to AA meetings where Kirsten gets her nine month chip and gives a lot of the credit to Seth. They just need hugs.

The in one last sad plot

Matt got his ass kicked and apartment trashed by Sandy’s new partner. Sandy may be having second thoughts.

And last Luke was talked about again today. He and Marissa got together in the 5th grade and he and Summer were engaged in the second, and it ended in the 5th. So cute.
