This never happened with Seth
Ryan is not the same kind of son that Seth is.

Well for one Ryan has had sex, I’d forgotten about the stuff in this episode but it’s great and all about Ryan, well other stuff happens too.
First after Seth finds out that Kristen walked in on Marissa and Ryan making out, and she makes that great line, he has to know all about it. I love that when he ask if Ryan’s had sex he never flat out asked and that Ryan didn’t verbally answer. But the look on Seth’s face when he ask how many and Ryan has to pause to count in his head
It’s like he can’t believe it and then when he finds out how young Ryan was
Now we don’t get to know the answer to that questions but this is my guess about 12 maybe 13 or even 11. Now as for why, one Ryan’s 15 now and Seth isn’t reacting like it’s last year or recent so my guess is it has to be a couple or more but it can’t be too young because until puberty guys can’t have that kind of sex and that’s about the same age range, I don’t see Ryan being a virgin for more then a year after everything kicks in and since I don’t think the show every gives us more to go on this timeline works for me.
Even with all that kind of experience one thing he hasn’t done is be a boyfriend. He’s hung out with girls but never dated them so he’s a bit surprised when Marissa calls him her boyfriend
So surprised he says he’ll go to Julie Coopers party.
He and Julie even have a bonding moment when she said she understands why he did what he did, that he was just trying to help Marissa she ask to start their relationship over, then she hugs him
And the look on his face so tell me he didn’t see that coming and if he had he’s be back in Chino by now.
Ryan it seems is hypped to go to the party somewhat
He’s his first date and he gets to be with Marissa so he got all dressed up
Nice tie….
Anyways, sadly the fun times are not to last and the Ryan/Julie truce doesn’t even make it a full 24 hours because Ryan saw Julie and Caleb together
And really his girlfriends mom and his almost mom’s dad? Who wants that picture in their head. Ryan has it and he doesn’t want to lie to Marissa who thinks her mom and dad may get back together and Julie doesn’t want Marissa to know.
They tried but they can’t seem to end up on the same side of things. Ryan tells Marissa and then it comes out and Julie, she knows who to blame.
