3x25 The Graduation aka the One where it happens

May 16, 2012 12:02

This is it, the end of the season and one of the most shocking moments in all of the O.C. Do not go on unless you already know what happened or you don’t care if you find out.

Previous Part

Last warning I’m starting with the big ending

So Marissa is dead, killed non-deliberately by Volchok. Her last moments in Ryan’s arms. Yeah he’s going to be fucked for life over it. No question.

But the big question is why? It wasn’t to get her out of the show, that was already happening, she was going to go off with her father, Ryan was driving her to the airport when it happened. And now I know the father thing was just a cover for why she wasn’t returning for the next season half way in and the fans all thought they knew the answer and yes killing her was a shock but why? And why this way. She and Ryan had finally gotten their lives in order and now Ryan’s fucked…as you can guess I’m not happy with this move and I think it played a big part in why the next season isn’t as good as it could have been.

But anyways on to the rest of the episode. Since her death only happens in the last couple minutes.

Most of the show was about Graduation and family, something it does well.

The four of them plus Taylor are just having fun, high school is over and it’s great.

Dawn even pops in and that’s great

Ryan just smiles so much around her. He just smiles so much now. He’s grown…and I’m pissed at the show for killing that at the end.

The other thing that pissed me off is Dawn got Ryan his own car. Yeah the non rich parent got it for him and he was so happy and she was so happy for him

I mean when he walked across the stage she was so pleased

It was just great.

They were in a good place. A really good place…he need a hug.

Even Seth and Summer were in a good place

Sandy with is super legal powers got the charges/problems with the fire dropped as if they never happened. Seth and Summer are both going to the east coast

Seth even got the letter, he doesn’t go until January but he’s going.

Kaitlin even came down to see Marissa off and really it’s a great episode

It really is.

But then they have the death plot

Which is basically Volchok being the jilted ex who wants to talk with Marissa and ends up killing her trying to get her to stop and talk to him,

and he wrecked Ryan’s new car.

But it did have’s it’s nice high points, the gang sneak into the model home and have a pool party and talk about old times, Luke’s even talked about twice. Just cut off the last couple minutes and it’s be great…but they couple minutes are there and they will define the next and last season of The O.C.
