3X06 The Swells aka The one with the lockin and the surf party.
The Newport Union plot line starts going somewhere, Taylor still isn’t a good guy yet and stuff happens with the adults.

One of the major plots of this episode is Marissa is still dealing with that happened with Trey, she has PDSD, not that they call it that but that’s what it is.
Ryan doesn’t get it but Summer is there for her.
As does Johnny, he almost killed his father when his father was beating on his mother, and that causes some problems for both of their boy/girlfriends.
But Ryan takes it well when he finds out Marissa is blowing him off to spend time with Johnny.
He is after all focusing on being back at Harbor and the Lockin Taylor is forcing the class to do.
Which he missed because Summer calls him because she thinks something is happening between Marissa and Johnny. And really he’s just in time for the fun
Johnny’s girlfriend in bed with his surf rival
Kevin Volchok the new rogue to replace the Dean of Discipline.
Well Johnny doesn’t take it well and Ryan has to be the voice of reason, he still punches the guy but then he’s bigger then Johnny
And that leads to Ryan and Johnny bonding more which is cool.
In the adult plot they may be keeping the Newport Group
And Julie found out that Charlotte isn’t who she said she is.
