I had a sad dream last night.  I woke up crying. The beginning wasn't sad, just strange.  Alex lived in an apartment in an old building.  A VERY old building that looked from the outside as though nobody should live there.  It was in the downtown area of the city, which was not Winnipeg, though I can't say where it was.  Chicago springs to mind, ( Read more... )

Last night's dream would best be described as really strange. I was at some kind of Girl Guide/United Church event. There were people there who could have been involved in both, and it seemed to change throughout, so I'm not really sure what kind of conference it was. A new project is dawning today. I'm resurrecting this LiveJournal. I hereby declare that all further entries to this journal will be accounts of dreams I've had. I have many dreams. I find myself in another precarious situation, job-wise.  The first thing you must know is that it's a unionized job.  Someone in the department who had a permanent Clerk A position took a temporary B position (better than A).  In the meantime, someone else was brought in from god knows where in the department, to fill that position on a temporary ( Read more... )

Shadow is my cat, my parents cat, that is.  He's 21, positively ancient for a cat.  He's not doing well.  We're taking him to the vet tomorrow, which will probably be the last time I see him.  As I write this I'm starting to cry.   It's hard to see something you love so much deteriorate the way he has these past few days.  He isn't eating, and he ( Read more... )
