Last Sunday my friend Mathilde picked me up from my dorm and we drove to her house in Courseulles-sur-mer, which is a cute little town by the sea. It was a great day. It's fun to ride in a car, for one thing! I never thought that I'd miss that because I'm not a huge fan of driving most of the time.

That's what I want to eat right now. I miss American food! I'll make up for not having it by eating tartiflette sometime this weekend. Tartiflette consists of potatoes, cheese, onions, cream, and white wine all smashed and baked together. How can that go wrong? Yummm. I'm so glad that it doesn't get too terribly cold in Normandie. We're close to the sea and so temperatures rarely get below 40F, which isn't terribly cold compared to Kentucky and Kansas winters.
