Life isn't bad at all.

I've been a busy bee lately! My birthday was on the 18th and I had a lovely dinner with Phil, Cass, Katie, Nikki, Alex, Josh, and Missy. Not looking back has never been so hard.

Life in the burbs is surprisingly good. Granted, it's not the city, but I was kind of expecting to be mildly miserable and mostly I'm just well-rested and content with an occasional bout of boredom. In some ways it's hard being away from the city. I miss everyone terribly. (It's still strange that you're not included in that group anymore.) I love the noise and the dirty public transit and the buildings and the fast-pace. But being home has reminded me of how much I love birds and flowers and the smell of cut grass and driving and my family. ( Read more... )

I never thought nine months would go by so fast. Did you know that the only landmark date in my life that I can remember off the top of my head is August 23rd? That's the day I moved to Chicago.
