Life isn't bad at all.
I've been a busy bee lately!
My birthday was on the 18th and I had a lovely dinner with Phil, Cass, Katie, Nikki, Alex, Josh, and Missy. After that we went to Navy Pier and met up with Emily and Anthony and we watched the fireworks and rode the swings and the ferris wheel. Rarely have I felt so loved, thank you so much to everyone. It meant so much to me.
Meg and I had a fun day bumming around in the city. We infiltrated the Aragon Ballroom and it was maybe the coolest thing ever. I made sure to show her all of the area landmarks (This is where I met Brendon Urie! This is where I got my car towed! This is where I met Andrew McMahon! This is where I saw Todd Fink and he was wearing the COOLEST JACKET EVER!) and then we stopped by the best dollar store in Chicago.
I've been watching a lot of little league baseball because all of my cousins are in it. It makes me want to play so bad.
I finished Jeanette Winterson's Written on the Body. I'll be starting Nick Hornby's How to be Good in a couple days. Rec me books, friends. I'm having a super nerdy summer.
I've been wearing real summer clothes. Tank tops and dresses and skirts, oh my! Yay for small, personal triumphs!
My class is keeping me busy but I'm having fun and turning out good work. Have I mentioned how much I love art school? Loooove it. So much.
Nikki and I are going to look at apartments soon and I am VERY EXCITE.
The Taste of Chicago is coming up, the 4th of July, and a trip home (hopefully)! I've got fun plans with the girlfriends to look forward to. (More fireworks! Photo-taking excursions!)
It's 1:40p. I'm sitting on my bed in a towel and I haven't even brushed my teeth yet. I'm off to start the transformation into a real human being. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
