Mid-June Musings
Well, 3/4th of the household is now fully vaccinated. BoyfriendZ is sort of dragging his heels because apparently he feels the various vaccines were 'rushed', and isn't convinced they are safe... on the other hand Daughter mentioned that they have done some preliminary investigating of available local housing options in the past couple weeks...

More Fun with Insurance - Mostly Good, But Might Need to Ration My Meds
Thanks to President Biden and the increased assistance with 'marketplace' insurance, I can now actually afford the plan that will allow me to keep my doctor (without paying extra) and ALL of my medications are covered (although the co-pay will still be a bit steep). Ugh!
Received my 2nd jab yesterday morning. By the time I went home at the end of the day, I had chills and a headache. Went to bed way early, not that it did much good. Accomplishments? Two steps Forward, but that step Back is a doozy!
1) Husband and I started the process of taking out a home equity loan to pay for the new furnace and installation;
2)I've successfully navigated the state's insurance website, and have sent in my 1st payment. If all goes well, I should have SOME coverage on April 1st. Meanwhile, Husband is still waiting for his Medicare card;

Google says It was Warmer Today...
And I believe it! Only two layers of clothing today because yeah, it FELT warmer. Actually saw a little melting yesterday, but then it snowed again last night.
Really feeling for those poor people in Texas, too. Hope Youngest Sister and fam are okay! -

Cold Today
I'd love it if we had a bit of a thaw, as long as things didn't refreeze right away. As it is, there's a couple of inch thick ice-covered snow patches on both the back and front porches I keep hitting with the ice-melt -- not that it will MELT, but at least it provides some traction when we go out to get the mail or put the garbage/recycling in ( Read more... ) -

I guess, despite waking up yesterday morning to find icy rain on top of two days of snow. We hunkered down yesterday, I went back to bed after breakfast and slept until almost one o'clock.

Trying to Get Stuff Done to Go Home Early Today...
Problem being, I hadn't realized how low on black toner the copier was, and of course the copier supply store closed early for the holiday. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get all my copies; otherwise I might end up spending Saturday at the print shop (Office Max/Depot) getting Sunday's bulletins made up!
