Things are/can be/will be okay.

One of my greatest personal fears has come true - has been true for a long time. I have come to regard all the interesting, creative, spiritual and philosophical musings of my past self, many of which were recorded in this very journal, as childish pipe-dreams and meaningless druggie drivel.

I'm playing on Hellish difficulty - it makes the game last longer and gives me a much more substantial sense of accomplishment when I clear an area or defeat a boss. I do, however, die often. I just entered Violence, and I must say I generally disagree with the detractors of the Inferno. Though I haven't reached the last few circles yet, so far I've found the game minimally repetitious and, overall, a blast to play. I bought baby wipes for the apartment, but everythingisso told me I bought the wrong kind, since the wipes I bought are specifically for actual babies and are disposable only in the trash, not the toilet. Apparently they make adult wipes you can flush.
