My daughter has swimmer's ear. Her ear was still bothering her this morning, so I took her to sick call at her pediatrician's office and it took the nurse practitioner all of two seconds to diagnose it. I got a mini-break from the kids this weekend, which helped with my lack of patience in regards to them recently. My parents took them up to Santa's Village and Clark's Trading Post, which are both located about 2-3 hours away from home. They left Friday morning and didn't get back until Saturday afternoon. I didn't have the greatest of weekends. My daughter continues to struggle with potty accidents at least once a day, and for a few days we went through multiple changes of clothes for her. This is our second summer at this house and we are having another round of ant problems. My husband has sprayed outside the house with ant killer, and has taped those little ant hotels (the ones where they check in, and check out with poison to bring back to their nests) to the side of our house. A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't get in touch with any of my son's closest friends for a playdate. I don't know where the hell they all were, but I went through three of them before I finally found one that was actually around and willing to come play. Grrr. I lost my daughter today for about five minutes at the beach. I'm not even 100% sure how it happened, but it took at least a year off my life. Thank God a lifeguard found her.
