Where to begin?

A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't get in touch with any of my son's closest friends for a playdate. I don't know where the hell they all were, but I went through three of them before I finally found one that was actually around and willing to come play. Grrr. It's so much harder to be a Mom now because you have to set up playdates. When we were kids our Moms would force us out the door and lock it. I also think that your friends really did feel weird about hiring a friend, it would be harder to tell you what to do or to correct you if they wanted something done differently. They might not be right, but I'm sure they thought it.

It's been really hot here too. The sun is brutal like Florida...that was a good comparison. It's tropical it's so strong. Then again I'm always freezing so I don't mind. :D

I used to leave the house and be gone practically all day, and my parents never thought anything bad had happened. They had a pretty good idea where I was and that was enough. Those were the days, huh?

Thank God my parents have a swimming pool or we'd hardly be outside at all because I can't stand the humidity.
