Lost and found

I lost my daughter today for about five minutes at the beach. I'm not even 100% sure how it happened, but it took at least a year off my life. Thank God a lifeguard found her. She is just such a distractable kid - I'm sure she stopped to look at something, got separated from the other kids we were with, including her brother, and somehow she lost sight of me and that was it. I was so horrified, and scared, but when the lifeguard found her, little miss was chatting away to her, not even crying for me until she saw me. Sigh.

After bringing all the insulation contractors into the house and finding out how much it would cost, my husband has decided we can do it on our own. I was not happy to hear this at first, but now I am realizing this is probably the best course of action for right now. It will save us a ton of money that we can use to do other things around the house, and we can also avoid having the aluminum siding destroyed. Not too many places make or install aluminum siding anymore, and it sounds like it was a nightmare for all of the insulation companies to deal with, so we're going to try to do it from the inside of our house.

My husband is handy. I would rather take a nap. We'll see how this works out.
