It's Been Awhile
Since last I posted here, I've lost my mother and two cats. Grief is a funny thing. But I'm still alive, employed again and surviving, so that's something.
I just might start posting here again.

Poor Kitty!
The stripey-cat appears to have developed an eye infection--keratitis is my best guess, but I'll wait for an official diagnosis. Off to the vet we go on Monday. Save for the cloudy, gunky eye he's perfectly normal (i.e. demanding foods no cat should even want to eat, tearing around the house, etc.) so I'm not too worried, but it's still a concern. Friendships are ephemeral things, aren't they? My esteem for one person was very recently destroyed when they posted a photo to Facebook of the president with a monkey's face Photoshopped in; you can hold whatever political views you want, but hateful racist shit like that has no place whatsoever in adult discourse. Too Early
I've been up since just after five with a sick cat, which is worrisome and unfun in the extreme. Watching reruns of Angel, which I haven't seen in a very long time (primarily because they air it at six in the damn morning), and being a little weirded out by seeing a non-Booth David Boreanaz. Wow, it has been awhile, hasn't it? Not much to report, I suppose, beyond unemployment, bitter hatred of the farce of American politics, undignified fandom squealings, weather-related trauma, and the like...

C: (Walks in, sees gross corpse on TV) EVERY TIME I walk in here!
Me: (helpfully) It's a dead guy that was fished out of the river.
C: All you wanna see is dead gooey corpses and all I wanna watch is boobs. Why are we even together? -

I have no idea what to say or what to write or even what to do at the moment. I'm rather depressive, though not necessarily for the reasons you might expect. I feel imbalanced, badly so, the rational side of me having taken over to the point where I question whether I believe in much of anything at all.
