The stripey-cat appears to have developed an eye infection--keratitis is my best guess, but I'll wait for an official diagnosis. Off to the vet we go on Monday. Save for the cloudy, gunky eye he's perfectly normal (i.e. demanding foods no cat should even want to eat, tearing around the house, etc.) so I'm not too worried, but it's still a concern.

It's also expensive! I get to take my kitty in to get a fang pulled Thurday, and while we want to keep him healthy, it is an incentive to not get any more pets!

There's pet insurance now that many vets are beginning to take to solve just this issue, especially for older pets. Might be worth looking into!
