12 days out on a road-trip. 1300 miles on the clock, from Swindon to Skye and back via Avimore and North Berwick. Spent two days swatting midges in ruined and deserted Scottish farmhouses, and 4 days in Edinburgh doing free fringe. Yay! I might even blog about this at some point ( Read more... )

I was going to witter on about stuff, but LJ was broke so I couldn't. Now it isn't broke so I can, but it'll be ( the abridged version! )

It's a bit tricky to get excited about a surprise birthday party in public. Even more so when it's a surprise holiday! Somehow, despite the travel agent's fairly monumental error of sending confirmation to the victim surprisee, the surprise was delivered fairly intact. Now, at last, ( the beans can be spilled. )
