I'm still a little sore in my neck from Saturday's CPR class. 9 to 5:30, Adult, Infant, and Child CPR as well as first aid. Lots of practice time. The instructor seemed to really care about the things she was talking about and I learned a lot of stuff that'll make me more confident down the road, but eight and a half hours is a LONG TIME to be in ( Read more... )

Today was all about stimulating the economy! miss_swamp graciously agreed to help us evaluate carseats; that and clothes are the two things we absolutely need to have on hand in the event of a last-minute placement. I finally signed southplains and myself up for the CPR and first aid class I kept thinking about. The first available Saturday we had was April 11, which says something about our lives, I'm sure. So one of the couples we went to the seminar with back in September? Adopted last week. Twins. And they were a gay couple from Houston (the parents, not the twins). In the pool for nine weeks. I wouldn't dare go to a restaurant on Valentine's Day, but it's a good excuse to spend time with southplains. We had pancakes for breakfast at home, then walked down to the Bainbridge ferry dock by way of the market (borek and macarons) and the spice shop (chili powder).
