I wouldn't dare go to a restaurant on Valentine's Day, but it's a good excuse to spend time with southplains. We had pancakes for breakfast at home, then walked down to the Bainbridge ferry dock by way of the market (borek and macarons) and the spice shop (chili powder). World Spice down below the Market; it doesn't get as many tourists wandering around. I love their ancho chili powder but we got the New Mexico this time for comparison. They're not particularly hot (which I prefer) but you can always dump in cayenne if you like fire.

Mmmm.
I am always willing to try a good brand/shop to see if it changes my mind! No good gourmet ice cream around here sadly...will just have to drool from a distance. I can believe that dark chocolate would be much better.
