I hate elections and Election Day, despite being a very politically engaged person, but my day just made got even worse by the fact that my roomie and I blew a fuse and somehow are out of replacement fuses and haven't gotten the gas turned on yet for our heat but now we can no longer use our space heaters in our bedrooms, so: 36 degrees tonight. PLEASE JUST LET THIS ELECTION BE OVER SO I CAN GET BACK TO MY LIFE. And so that I don't have to see any more political ads. Living in a swing state is the worst. All I'm saying is, my hometown may be responsible for Bush having won the presidency in 2000, BUT at least we can properly secure construction equipment for a hurricane, which is more than New York can say at the moment. SUCK IT, NORTHERNERS.

Hey, everyone - so for those of you who don't know, Books of Wonder is this really, really amazing independent children's bookstore in New York City. It is one of my top 3 favorite bookstores of all time, it's honestly amazing - I got a copy of The Phantom Tollbooth signed by the author and illustrator just by wandering in there accidentally a few ( Read more... )
