I've been thinking about this writing thing. When we first moved to this property, the house itself was in disrepair. I'm talking on the verge of falling down. The land was considered a wasteland. 1. The Haitian earthquake situation is both heart-breaking and frustrating. It's difficult to sit amidst my creature comforts and watch people scavenge for simple basics. I would like to be there, helping. 1) The mast crop for black walnuts, acorns and hickory nuts is awesome here! That's a double-edged sword, because local lore insists that a heavy mast crop means a harsh winter ahead.
