I've been thinking about this writing thing. When we first moved to this property, the house itself was in disrepair. I'm talking on the verge of falling down. The land was considered a wasteland. Your photos of the land changing are wonderful. But clearly there is one difference between your land and my riverside property--beavers! In the twenty years I've lived in my house it's been a constant battle with the humans on the loosing side.

(I should add the message of your post is something I really need to hear right now. Impatience seems to be ruling me lately.)

The changes were shocking, even to me. It wasn't until we dug out the old pictures that we realized just how much. I guess we just don't see them day to day.

I'm kind of surprised we don't have beavers here, because they've been seen not all that far away. Oir little pond doesn't interest them. I'm not sure what we would do if they moved in.

(Me, too!) Stay warm! We've got a big storm bearing down on us tomorrow. They say we're going to get socked with 18-24 inches again here.
