Chapter 20 - Talking Is Overrated
Summary:
Kim Jaejoong owns a construction company and that forces him to do business with the mafia even if he himself tries to remain within the law. However, some of the mafia men don’t appreciate that and keep threatening him. That’s why he hired Changmin, Junsu and Yoochun who are responsible for his security.
Jung Yunho is a cop specialized in domestic violence and sex crimes. During the chase of a sex offender he found himself thrown in a bigger investigation involving a paedophile/mafia man named Kim Jaejoong. As if that wasn’t enough he’s being framed for the murder of the sex offender and the mafia is blackmailing him with the evidence on his innocence to do one job for them: kill Jaejoong. Why? Because even the mafia wants him to bring down Kim Jaejoong.
And so their paths collided.
Warnings: mention rape and abuse, some violence, smut.
Pairings: Yunjae, little hints of Yoosu

Chapter 20 - Talking Is Overrated
Yunho was puzzled. Kim Jaejoong was definitely mafia. However he no longer believed the man had anything to do with Ren’s attack and Taemin’s disappearance. The shorter man might like rough sex and have a nasty temper but the cop was having more and more trouble trying to picture him hurting a kid. And his father was being treated much better than he expected. The tall man chuckled again at his father antics. “Tweety Pie! Thumper! Oh, Dad, only you!”
He was still sitting at the breakfast table with Changmin. Yoochun and Jaejoong had gone upstairs and Junsu, along with Eric and Donghae, had taken his father to the sofa in the living room. Yunho remained quiet. He had no intention of being hit by Changmin again. His body had already taken too much. The last he wanted was to be considered threatening. Besides there was already one dead body in the house and no one seemed overly concerned about that.
Yunho was starting to feel uneasy with the way Changmin stared at him. He actually breathed in relief when Jaejoong returned. That made the bodyguard snigger but he ignored him. However Yoochun appeared right behind with something the cop recognised. Yunho gave a sad smile of resignation in Jaejoong’s direction, who kept a very determined business like face.
-Yunho, right? A present for you. - Teased Yoochun with a grin.
Changmin laughed behind them.
-The cuffs? Nice touch. I was beginning to fear his status had been upgraded way too much.
Yunho pretended not to understand the hidden meaning in Changmin’s words or Yoochun’s smirk. He hated that the men knew exactly what Jaejoong had done to him Friday night and that they obviously suspected enough of last night. He hated even more that he had to admit that all of that was a direct result of his own actions from the moment he had entered in their boss’s room. And worse, he hated to remember that last night had been his own initiative. The cop simply allowed himself to be cuffed again, without a word of complaint. It wasn’t like he had another choice, anyway.
-You can stay at the sofa with Mr. Thumper. That way my guards don’t need to watch more than one room. Remember not to get ideas. We already have one dead guy. - Stated Jaejoong with a cold voice. -Hey, Junsu, let’s go.
-You’re taking only one bodyguard with you after almost being shot in your own home? -Yunho couldn’t help the question, his face and voice showing his incredulity.
-No. He’s taking more than that. We can actually do our job, you know? - Answered Junsu with an amused voice.
Jaejoong deliberately ignored the cuffed man and walked away; Junsu following behind and signalling two guards to accompany them.
-Oh, so cute. It’s like our original attacker has appointed himself honorary bodyguard. Worried about how many guards Jae takes. Maybe Jae should have taken him too. Speaking of honorary bodyguards. Minnie… When are you finally going to ask Jun Ki out? Today would be a good day. You will be in the office with him… Just the two of you…
-Chun, go to hell. I swear I will never understand how Su puts up with you.
-I’m awesome.
-You’re a pervert that has chains in his room. Awesome my ass.
-I prefer Junsu’s ass.
-Honey, are you going to work? Do you want me to send you roses?
-What the hell? Old man, shut up. I’m not your wife.
-Oh, Min. Don’t be like that. He looobes you so much. How can you not accept roses?
-Yoochun. Out. Work. Move. Eric, you’re in charge. Keep an eye on these two, especially our chained guest. One false move from that guy and you have my permission to fire. Actually, make that an order.
…
Junsu was driving while Jaejoong sat silent next to him, instead of in the back. With an apologetic look at the two guards in the backseat, Junsu closed the partition. The business man looked from the tainted windows to the driver with a questioning look.
-Ok, Jae, let’s talk. What’s up between you and… Yunho?
-What do you mean?
-Don’t play dumb, Jae.
-There is nothing going on, Su.
-Fine. Then how come he told you his name?
-I don’t know. He just said it.
-And the rest?
-What rest?
-Let me explain to you exactly what happened at breakfast.
Min has a temper to match yours but since you’re the boss, he just keeps trying to guess which way you turn. He’s sensing something is wrong but doesn’t know what. When you two arrived together downstairs, he couldn’t care less about Yunho. He was only concerned with your reactions towards the guy, which he has been doing since he found out you drugged him Saturday morning.
My darling Yoochun was having way too much fun noticing how obvious it was that Yunho had been thoroughly fucked, and was limping, to notice anything else.
No, Jae. Don’t. - Junsu help up his hand when he noticed Jaejoong was about to speak.
-Don’t bother trying to deny it. I was there last night when you let the guy take a bath in your room, which means he probably slept with no cuffs. And he did sleep in your room. Besides, that was a very specific kind of limp. I have a healthy sex life. I can recognize that limp.
Which takes me to what I noticed.
Me? Well, I did I saw Yunho limping. And I also saw that you are limping a little too. You both had self-conscious faces when you arrived. And there was some lingering tension. Sexual tension. The sizzling awkward kind. You two have the hots for each other and are failing miserably at denial. I was just blown away that you let him into your pants. I mean, that you went up his ass again, I get it. But why did you let him fuck you?
-Ah, Junsu, shut up. Leave me alone.
-Spill it. You can’t get away from me.
-You want to know? The man has the biggest dick I ever saw. My limping? It was just his size, just that. He was maddeningly gentle with prep. Every move he made was aimed at just the right spot and he didn’t use excessive strength. I never saw such self-control in my life. I was putty in his hands. My only comfort is that he was putty in my hands first.
Jaejoong sighed, closing his eyes and running his fingers in his hair; an expression of inner conflict on his face.
-So… I take it that he’s over what happened between you two Friday night? And Saturday, if I’m not mistaken?
-He wasn’t over it when he came to talk with me yesterday. But he was over it after dinner. In fact, just before the dead guy broke in, actually.
-Oh?
-Long story. I lost my temper after I sent you and Chunnie out. I even kicked Minnie out. However I calmed down and left Yunho alone. But the thing is, when I returned to the room he was suddenly kind of over it. And during the night he was definitely over it. To top the craziness it seems Yunho likes it a little rough.
-No kidding? - Junsu chuckled. -Well, that makes you two a perfect match. You need to blow off steam more often. You’re always too tense. Ok, but don’t get carried away. Even if he’s going all bodyguard on you and all consensual sexy times too. We still need to find out who he is. I do believe he was sent here by someone; I just don’t know yet if he’s simply hired help.
-I know. I know. Hey, Junsu?
-What?
-Does Yoochun realise how smart you really are?
-Off course not. -Junsu laughed. -I like him to think he needs to take care of me. And he is smart too, he just gets distracted. The man loves laughing and perving too much for his own good. And Min is too cynical for subtleties, so some things fly under his radar. Speaking of which, I think the old man might be Yunho’s father.
-You noticed too? They are so alike. Except the mou…
-The mouth? I guess so.
Junsu waited a few moments.
-Have you kissed him?
-Huh? What? No. Why would I?
-Oh, for nothing. - Said Junsu with a smile -Relax, just asking. We arrived.
-Junsu, before we go in, let me remind of one thing.
-What is it?
-You owe me the story of how and why your dear Yoochun has cuffs and chains and ropes in his room.
Jaejoong exited the car laughing while his bodyguard was suddenly attacked with a cough attack.
…
Back at the house, Yunho was quietly sitting in the sofa. From the corner of his eyes he was watching and admiring how his father seemed to be right at home. And the guards were extremely friendly to his father. That alone was enough for Yunho to forgive them for the cold and sometimes speculative stares he got from them. Since he couldn’t speak, the tired cop just laid down on the sofa and slept a little. For now, he was at ease and he should enjoy the peaceful moment.
There was a nudge on his shoulder. Yunho turned to sleep more but the pain in his body woke him up.
-Yunho. - He heard a whisper.
-Dad?
-Keep your voice down. Donghae fell asleep but Eric might return soon. Now start explaining what is going on. There were men breaking into our house. Really dangerous men. And then these guys show up as well.
With some difficulty, Yunho sat and tried to explain to his father as much as possible; starting with Monday and Taemin’s case; then the dead sex offender and the missing gun; his suspension; Siwon’s suspicions; everything. He figured, no matter how embarrassing the story was, he owed it to his father. So, he talked while the old man listened in silence. Well, he told almost everything. He skipped over the sexual details.
-Yunho. God, you can be so stupid.
-Daaaad. -Yunho pouted.
Jung Ji Hoo gave his son a hard no-nonsense glare and the cop whimpered.
-Ok, in short you think Kim Jaejoong is part of the mafia but he has some sort of bounty on his head. The way you were framed sounds like a random opportunity thing but it is weird. Then you conveniently got suck into this because you are a hot head and want to punch everyone who commits a crime. However the crime you were most worried about is the one you now think Jaejoong might be innocent of.
I guess I see your point about not tipping them off that you’re a cop investigating them. Just in case they really are criminals and get rid of us and any other evidence. But you were the one who saved Jaejoong’s life just last night. And it seems it was a good thing because the dead guy was also after you.
You know? I can’t see that man molesting anyone. More likely he always had to avoid molesters seeing how pretty he is. But there is a mystery here. Someone attacked Ren and it is weird that Jaejoong has that video. Plus this other boy, Taemin, disappearing.
As for him being mafia… He talked a little when he helped me bathe.
-He helped you bathe? Jaejoong himself?
-Yes. And today it was Junsu. They are very down to earth practical men. Not exactly what you would associate or expect with mafia men. Jaejoong said he inherited the company from his father. This wheel chair I was using was his father’s too. He sounded very proud of his business.
Mafia? I don’t know, Yunho. Even if he went to talk with this TOP guy, has business with known mafia bosses, and those files you found on his computer… Hell, even if there is a dead guy somewhere in this house that they haven’t reported to the police… I just don’t know. You should not jump to conclusions. That is how we both ended up in this house in the first place.
-I’m sorry, Dad. I know I screwed up. I’m so relieved you are ok. I was really scared for you. But, please, let me do this my way. I want to keep gathering information.
-I don’t agree with you, son. But ok, you’re the cop. Let’s do it your way. Now. Tell me what you were hiding, when you told me the story from Friday night up to this morning.
-Huh?
-Yunho. I am old. I have broken bones. I am still wearing a god damn diaper. I’m playing senile. But don’t take me for a fool. Now come on. What is the deal with you and Jaejoong?
-What? Nothing. There is no deal with me and that guy.
-Really? Fine. But if you want me to believe that, you should hide your limp better. At least he disguised his limp well enough that I think no one noticed. And nice matching bite marks, by the way.
Yunho had the decency to blush and look away but said nothing.
Donghae moved in his sleep and that kept Yunho’s father from saying anything else. Soon Eric returned and that resulted in a funny scuffle between both guards.
Jung Ji Hoo studied his son’s troubled face with the corner of his eyes and without the guards noticing. He wanted to kick Changmin for beating his son to such a bloody mess, yet he had to agree that Yunho’s actions had caused most of the beatings. He pondered whether to talk with Jaejoong or not. Even with the casual talk about a dead guy at the breakfast table, he couldn’t help but think that the story Yunho had was not the full picture. His instincts told him he could trust the beautiful young man yet Ji Hoo decided against that. The old man was curious how his son was going to solve the big mess he had got himself into with Kim Jaejoong. Yunho was acting in a very strange way. He suspected both men were having a serious case of physical attraction for each other and his silly son had no idea how to deal with it. Oh, yes, he was curious.
