Wells' absence hasn't had much to do with the Clock, as he hasn't really understood it and generally avoided it. The other night Annie told him about its potential destruction of the Bar, so he opted to stay in London a while more and make the best of it. There is no song, no words, just eye contact as father and son watching each other with similiar eyes.
