After almost a week of healing, Urza has been released from the infirmary. He collected all the fragments of the Clock into a box, and is now standing beside it outside near the lake.

He has a portal opened to Tolaria, but is dithering about leaving just yet. There's one more thing he feels he should do.

Feel free to catch him while he's

hale, divis mal

A few yards away there is Hale, standing, watching Urza as the planeswalker goes about his business.

No. He's not really watching; he's just got his head turned in the direction of the sounds Urza's making.

Urza.

And he frowns.

It's not Urza's fault the clock came to Milliways, but as it's from Urza's universe Hale can't help but feel some resentment towards the man who, simply by being in Milliways, had lead Hale towards his current state.

But is he truly to blame for your blindness, the vixen says. Or are you merely looking for someone to give fault to so that you do not have to come to terms with your condition?

Urza turns at the almost-heard conversation and nods a greeting. He's unaware of the blindness, having been too concerned with disabling the Clock at the time.

Naturally. The clock takes precedence over injury, but the clock's gone now.

Lir he is looking at you.

Head-nods are not entirely audible; he needs a little help.

Such things prick at his inbred Cheysuli pride. To rely on someone else to do things he should be capable of doing for himself!

Do you berate me for fulfilling my gods-appointed task?

He tilts his head in confusion that Hale hasn't acknowledged him. He wonders if he's offended the man, but can't think how.

Ah, well. If Hale wishes to talk to him, he will. For now, Urza just returns to his spell preparations.

The man in the blue jeans and the Daedalus League T-shirt approaches Urza. "Planeswalker? I don't want to be rude, but I think we've unfinished business, you and I."

Urza blinks uncomprehendingly at the man for a moment. Understanding slowly dawns.

"Oh, yes, of course. Our agreement. I'm very grateful for your assistance in the battle and will be happy to help you in any way I can."

Michael bows. "Thank you. Regrettably, I burned out most of my powers fighting the dragons, but my enhanced senses retain most of their keenness. If you can establish a sympathetic connection between me and the world of my birth, I should be able to use it myself once my powers recover."

"Ah, the dragons. I hadn't expected them. We must really have started to worry them. We're very fortunate that the rogues returned when they did."

He rubs his hands together.

"Well now. Let's see what we can do. If you can provide me with some reference point in your plane, I can attempt to locate it."
