Wells' absence hasn't had much to do with the Clock, as he hasn't really understood it and generally avoided it. The other night Annie told him about its potential destruction of the Bar, so he opted to stay in London a while more and make the best of it. At least the smells are starting to subside somewhat as the weather cools.

He's lasted about as long as he ever can, though. If he's lucky the Bar will still be-
