Chap-13 "...and papa let me touch da wader and feet get wet! It cold but weally fun wen da wader make big spwash!" Ohno threw his arms up, as if to demonstrate how big the splash of the waves really were.
Aiba giggled as he listened rapturedly to the baby's story. "That sounds so much fun! So did he walk?" He asked, looking more at Sho this time.
Sho shook his head as he sat Ohno on his lap, the baby moving so much that Sho wanted to be extra careful that he wouldn't fall off or anything. "It was cold out so I didn't want to let Satoshi swim. But since he really wanted to go in the ocean, I held him under his armpits and let him 'walk' across the water."
After Sho and Ohno's talk, they played together on the sand where they made sand castles. To Sho's disbelief, even as a baby, Ohno made a better sandcastle than him- the walls were nice and compact (not crumbling down like Sho's) and were decorated with pretty looking shell pieces and coral bits (they weren't falling off the destroyed walls like Sho's).
After taking pictures together with their castles, Sho and Ohno walked across the the shallow end of the ocean, laughing merrily as the waves danced against their feet. At one point, Ohno wanted to let his fishy swim in the ocean, but Sho quickly refused, saying that fishy would catch a cold if he gone in. When the mechanic came by to replace the tire and check the overall condition of the car, Sho opted for them to stay at the beach a little longer to watch the beautiful sunset (he made sure to wrap them up in a thick blanket that he had brought as it was the winter season and it started to get a bit chilly).
As soon as the sun had set, Sho grabbed Ohno and they drove to a nearby small family restaurant for dinner. Sho ate a delicious bowl of shellfish ramen and Ohno drank a warm bottle of milk while Sho had also given him small pieces of noodles and tofu for Ohno to eat. With full bellies and a takeout box of fried oysters for the rest of the members, they headed home where the other members were already there and greeted them (Sho also managed to get a box of those matcha donuts on his way). Now they were all in the living room as the two told everyone how their day was.
"Look what Satoshi gave me." Sho showed off the rainbow shell that he had received.
"Wahh! So pretty!" Aiba gasped in awe as the colors flashed when he twisted it in his palm. "I want one!" He whined, wishing that he could have joined with his lover and leader-turned-baby. They would look just like a family, Aiba blushed at the thought.
"The castle on the right looks great! Your art skills are getting better, Sho-kun." Jun complimented, looking at the photos that Sho had taken on his cellphone. "Ah, but the castle on the left is good too- it has a good...characteristic to it." Jun added, giving Ohno a smile.
Sho leaned forward to look at the picture. It had Sho and Ohno smiling happily at the camera, their castles standing proud behind them. "Actually, the castle on the right is Satoshi's. Mine is on the left." Sho corrected, looking awkward.
Jun's eyes bugged out as he took a double take at the picture. "Really?! Satoshi you could be a sculpting prodigy!"
Ohno beamed proudly at the compliment, even though he didn't quite know what a prodigy or sculpting was. "I a good su-scu-scooping pwody!" Ohno agreed, sticking his nose in the air.
"Wow. Satoshi is amazing! Ah, but your castle is good too Sho-chan." Aiba said, patting his boyfriend's shoulder reassuredly. "It's has personality."
Sho grimaced as he shook his head. "No, it's okay Masaki- I don't need pity. I know that my art is worse than a baby's."
"Your castle looks like a shark came and ate it...then defecated and left its crap on the sand." Jun commented, twisting the phone to observe the picture closely.
"Jun!" Aiba gasped as he hit their youngest member in the arm. "Don't say that Sho-chan's castle looks like shark poop!"
Sho groaned as he grabbed the pillow and also threw it at Jun. "Can we please stop talking about my castle and move on to the other pictures!" He begged.
As they looked at the other photos they had taken, Sho noticed how quiet their resident gamer was being. Looking up at Nino, Sho spoke up. "Nino? Are you okay? You're pretty quiet there."
Nino sat on the floor, munching on a fried oyster as he glared at Sho. "It's bad enough that you tried to force that stupid schedule of yours on Satoshi and you almost got arrested for stealing...but who the hell is this Karin?" Nino's glare sharpened as he looked at Sho in disapproval.
Sho gave him an incredulous look. "Don't tell me your jealous."
Nino snorted. "Of course not. Like I've said millions of times, I'm NOT a pedophile!"
Sho narrowed his eyes at their bratty member, not believing him. "She's only one or two years old." He pointed out flatly.
Nino crossed his arms. "And why should I give a damn about that? I don't care about her but Satoshi is too young to like-like anyone." Nino had gotten upset when Sho told them about their meeting with Nana and Karin.
"Ooh, tell us more about them." Aiba jumped into the conversation as he and Jun were finished looking at all of Sho's photos.
"What's this about the girl Ohno met?" Jun asked, smirking in Nino's direction. Nino gave him a dark scowl.
"There's nothing more to say. We met them at the post office and then bumped into them again at the cafe. Nana-san was very...enthusiastic about her daughter and motherhood." Sho couldn't help but made a face as he remembered the proud mother's boasts and teachings about how to be a good parent. "But her daughter was pleasant. Karin and Satoshi got along very well together and even slept together when I went to get Satoshi."
"Oh? So Satoshi slept with Karin, huh?" Jun wriggled his eyebrows suggestively, dodging the green donut that Nino aimed at his head.
"You know he didn't mean it that way, you fucking pervert!" Nino hissed, not even flinching when Aiba hit him in the chest with a half-eaten oyster for once again cursing in front of a baby.
"Guys, don't waste the food." Sho sighed, picking up the thrown oyster and putting it on the side. It was always a sad sight too see a good shellfish wasted.
"Did you like Karin, Satoshi?" Aiba asked, grinning excitedly at the baby.
Ohno looked away from his fishy that he had been playing with. "Kawin is vewy good. I wike vewy much!" Ohno told them, playing with his fishy again.
"Yeah, but you like us more, right?" Nino questioned, leaning closer to watch Ohno's expressions.
Ohno looked at Nino. "I wike wu all mo den Kawin. But still wike Kawin eben if not favowite." Ohno told him immediately, not having to even think about it.
Nino had a gloated look on his face, leaning back and not saying anything more.
Jun sighed. "Ahh...it's a sad day when a 30 year old man gets jealous of an one year old girl." He merely grinned when Nino flashed him the birdy.
Ohno looked up suddenly as he remembered something. "Dwawing! I paint wit Kawin." Ohno looked at Sho worriedly. He had left his painting with the Reina-chan lady to dry, but he didn't know where it was now. Ohno had been sleeping when they left the cafe.
Sho's eyes widened as he reached for his bag. "Ah! I forgot. Don't worry Satoshi- one of the employees there gave me your painting- it was rolled up with a ribbon so even I haven't seen it yet." He assured him as he pulled out the rolled paper with a red ribbon around it.
"Yay! Open! Open!" Ohno urged excitedly, all of them watching as Sho removed the tie and opened the painting.
"Are you sure you're only one years old?" Nino questioned, looking awed at the baby's artwork.
"You're an art prodigy, seriously." Jun shook his head, his eyes not leaving the painting.
"Wow. Definitely better than anything I could do." Sho sighed in defeat (not that he was trying to compete with a baby based on art skills).
"It looks just like us!" Aiba cheered, grinning at Ohno.
"Wu wike?" Ohno asked, looking at them all with a bashful look on his face.
"We love." Sho told him, giving him a kiss on top of his head.
The painting was of the five of them. Well, to a stranger it might have looked like five blobs of red, green, yellow, purple and blue but since the members were biased towards their little one, in their eyes it was a complete masterpiece. Something worthy of Picasso himself.
The red blob had black scribbles on its head and was holding what seemed to be a bottle of milk. The green blob with brown scribbles on top was carrying what looked to be a monster...no, an animal now that they looked closer. The purple blob with brown and black scribbles on top was wearing sunglasses and carried an orange circle...a basketball. Finally the yellow blob (the biggest blob of them all) with black scribbles on its head was carrying a blue blob in his arms. And of course, the blue blob held his fishy (who was the only thing that was drawn pretty accurately).
Nino sighed, a cheshire smile formed on his lips as he nodded in approval. "This is a great picture. I will definitely hang it up at our house."
"No. We can hang it up here." Aiba disagreed, giving Nino a pout.
"I want it at my house." Jun argued, furrowing his eyebrows at them.
"Since I watched him today, then it goes in my house." Sho told them, holding the picture closer to him.
"Well, I watched him yesterday so I should also get it." Jun pointed out, making a grab for the picture.
"Besides, you got a shell." Nino pointed out, not happy that he didn't get that neither.
"That has nothing to do with this." Sho protested, trying to keep Jun's grabby hands away from him.
"Let's ask Satoshi who can get the picture." Aiba suggested, as all of them turned towards the baby.
Ohno looked like a deer caught in headlights as the attention was suddenly turned to him. He tilted his head thoughtfully. "Eberybody get dwawing!" Ohno concluded, nodding his head as he went back to his fishy, clearly not wanting to be disturbed again.
Nino nodded. "See? That means I get it, so pass it here-umph!" Both Aiba and Jun threw pillows at him, knocking him to the floor.
"You have very impaired hearing." Jun looked down at his grumbling member sadly.
"Why don't we janken for it?" Aiba suggested, grinning widely as he sat on Nino's back, ignoring the protests and punches that the latter was aiming at him.
Sho groaned. "But I suck at janken. I almost always lose!"
"Why don't we just make copies of the drawing so each of us can have it?" Jun suggested. The others froze.
"Great idea, Jun-kun!" Aiba shouted, going to give their youngest member a big hug.
Jun gasped as Aiba's hug cut off his air supply. "Can't...breathe..."
"I want the original!" Nino raised his hand, giving a threatening look to anyone who dared argued.
"That's not fair!" Aiba whined, squeezing Jun harder.
"Rea...lly....go...nna...die..." Jun choked out, blind spots starting to block his vision.
"Just let him have the original, Masaki. I promise to make the copies as close to the original as possible." Sho promised, handing Ohno to Nino as he went to loosen his lover's grip on their suffocating member.
"Okay so now that that's settled, I have something to inform you guys. I actually have a late night filming for Nino-san tonight and it involves me sleeping overnight at some sort of haunted hotel." Nino announced, shifting Ohno so his little tush sat on the floor, his back against Nino's legs. Nino thought that Ohno felt a little to warm to touch but decided to push that thought away, putting it down to the thick and fluffy bunny pajamas the baby was wearing. "So that means it's only gonna be the four of you tonight- I'll probably be back tomorrow afternoon."
Jun was panting, giving Aiba a smack on the head (making sure it was with the hand with his rings) before also piping in, "I actually have another meeting for the concert tonight. In fact, I shouldn't have come back at all today, but I begged the staff to let me go for a few hours to see how Satoshi was doing. I have to go back soon and will probably pull an all-nighter. I'll be back probably around dinnertime tomorrow."
Aiba was rubbing his sore head. At Jun's words, Aiba turned towards Sho excitedly. "That means we'll be alone with Satoshi tonight!"
Sho didn't return that excitement though as he gave Aiba an apologetic look. "Actually, I was planning to go back to my apartment and getting more of my stuff. It's been a while since I've been there and I just wanted to check on things there- just in case I wasn't robbed or something. I also didn't have a chance to go shopping today so I'm in dire need of toiletries- I'll need to get them in the morning, hopefully early enough so there won't be a lot of people around." Sho sighed as he added, "I also didn't get my assignment for News Zero earlier so I'll have to get it tomorrow and study it. I'll be back tomorrow night, after my filming for News Zero."
Aiba's smile fell as a look of realization crossed his face. "Wait...that means that I'll be caring for Satoshi alone?!" He eyes widened maniacally.
Nino also had a look of horror on his face. "Wait, you mean Aiba is gonna take care of Satoshi for almost twenty four hours?!" He shuddered at that. "Kamisama help us all."
Aiba pouted as he narrowed his eyes at Nino. "Hey! What does that mean?"
"Make sure you call us every hour tomorrow to inform us of Satoshi's condition." Jun ordered, looking at him with a serious expression.
"I'll try to drop by tomorrow, maybe during my breaks." Sho nodded, looking a bit worried at his boyfriend, wondering if he should stay over after all.
Aiba huffed, as he gave them all one of his rare death glares. "You guys are so mean! Just leave already! I can take care of Satoshi just fine." He told them, looking determined.
As the other three members still looked at their usually-smiling member with worried eyes, Satoshi continued to ignore them all as he played with his fishy, giving a small cough that was barely audible.
