Luke and Reid and Kevin drive back to Oakdale. Rumors were flying around town as to what happened to Luke and Reid up in Minnesota. The town’s people had their own ideas of what happens which were far from the truth.
Luke became kind of an outcast of Oakdale because they thought Reid turned Luke into a Vampire but really Reid never did.
Luke and Reid would go out to Old Town or AL’s and everyone would look at them like they shouldn’t be there. Luke got more ticked off at people when Reid was ordering something for Luke one day and Luke was running late from work, when Luke came into AL’s and a someone new working at AL’s was giving Reid a hard time because he said “Vamps don’t eat” and Reid was trying to explain it wasn’t for him it was for Luke, and the new working was being an asshole to Reid.
Reid was reteaching himself to keep calm and not blowup at people who tick him off because if he does blowup then things never end well, and he wants to be with Luke so if he has to act more human to do so he will change as much as he can for Luke.
Once Luke walks in see the new working giving Reid a hard time. Luke yelled at him and then Henry showed up too and told the new guy to lay off.
The only people still left in Luke’s corner was Henry and Casey Kevin who left to go to NYC to start a new life, and his family they loved Luke, it took time to for them to Luke Reid again, they would get nervous when Reid would be around. Faith didn’t care too much she loved her brother but at the same time trusted that he was 24 and could make up his own mind. Natalie was the same as Faith and Ethan thought it was way cool to have a real vamp in the family.
Luke hated that after everything Luke has gone through coming out and being different in this damn town they haven’t come far and accepted someone else just like Luke, different but still the same.
