A couple of years ago, we had a big dying silver maple tree cut down. There was a raised garden around it, filled with nice shade flowers (picture ). Nasty scarlet beetles are eating up my lilies! Woe!

What is the most effective way of getting rid of them? Preferably a way that will not involve releasing toxins into my garden since I have an herb garden nearby? I am at the squish on sight stage.
