Scarlet lily beetles! Ack!

Nasty scarlet beetles are eating up my lilies! Woe!

What is the most effective way of getting rid of them? Preferably a way that will not involve releasing toxins into my garden since I have an herb garden nearby? I am at the squish on sight stage.
