Having a difficult time of it.  I knew I would but I always figure somehow I can ride it out.  But let's face it - I obsess about things - people etc.  When it is a thing I can figure out how to buy it or get it etc and then the obsession fades.  When it's people there isn't anything I can do.  I'm not good at just letting these obsessions go.  ( Read more... )

I haven't felt anything for a very long time.  But I feel now.  I feel a lot.  It feels really good.  I feel joy.  Weird in itself.  I choose joy - even if it doesn't last.  There is a risk of that you know.  I choose taking a leap of faith and jumping into joy.  I really, really, really hope the fall doesn't kill me. 

Called to get information on adopting today.  Will be going to an informational meeting on February 9th.  Then, apparently, there is a 12 week course.  I wish I could get over the feeling that this is giving up on the idea of ever having my own child.  But I guess it might be time to do just that ( Read more... )

I wonder if a New Years resolution of figuring out how to have kids would be a bit drastic.  I would say my New Years resolution would be to have a baby but I doubt that will happen.  You need to have sex to get pregnant - a joke that not all medical people think is as funny as I do (go figure).  However, I am seriously considering looking into ( Read more... )

I hate those dreams.  They remind me of things I would rather not be reminded of.  I'm doing just fine thank you.  I live in the present and am relatively happy with life as it is.  I do not need to be reminded of the things my dreams bring up.  There is no need.  Bad dreams.  Go away.  Don't ever come again some other day.

I have tenants who live upstairs.  It's a mother and her 12-year old boy.  They think of us down here as part of their family.  The mother, unfortunately, is clearly an alcoholic.  ( more to the story )
